About Me

Hello! I'm Tracy (Chenxi) Chen Xue, a second-year undergraduate at the University of California, Santa Barbara, majoring in Applied Mathematics. I was born and raised in Changzhou, China.

I enjoy creating digital art and designing characters. I'm a cat lover and have two cats back home in China. In my free time, I also enjoy playing Riichi Mahjong and sipping black tea.

Although I’m still early in my mathematical journey, I’m especially interested in areas such as optimal transport, partial differential equations, and mathematical analysis.

Introduction to Machine Learning and AI Workshop — Summer 2023
Supervised by Prof. Vipul Goyal (CMU). Explored basics of ML, completed a privacy-preserving ML project, and gave a final presentation with written report.

Internship at Nikuman Co., Ltd. (Tokyo) — Summer 2025
From June to July 2025, I completed a remote graphic design internship with Nikuman Co., Ltd., a creative studio based in Tokyo, Japan. My work focused on creating character illustrations and supporting the visual storytelling of various projects. This experience allowed me to collaborate effectively across time zones, enhance my illustration skills, and contribute meaningfully to a professional design team from afar.
